Patterson, William James “PaPa” Jim passed away peacefully at his home with his children by his side on Thursday December 29th, 2011, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Olive Patterson (nee Clark). Dearly loved father of Cheryl (Richard Slater), Russ Patterson and Brent Patterson (Diane). Loving “PaPa” of Mitch, Brad, Warren, James and Matt. Dear brother of Paul (Bev), John and Robert (Barbara). Fondly remembered by his friends, nieces and nephews. A special friend of Barbara Legg. Jim was raised on the farm in Dundalk and moved to St. Catharines to begin his teaching career. He finished his successful career in Physical Education as a consultant with the Lincoln County Board. He was an avid outdoorsman, woodcarver and sports fan. His retirement years were devoted to plenty of travel with family and friends. He was actively involved with the Mountainview United Church. Jim’s family wish to express their thanks to family and friends for their kind gestures. Special thank you to Lauren, Jeanette, Linda and Jan for their compassion and care. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mountainview United Church, 150 Glendale Ave., St. Catharines on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11am.
