Obituary of Barbara McAuley

McAuley, Dr. Barbara M.D. ~ Peacefully passed away with her husband and children holding her at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday March 25, 2012. Aged 56 years, Dr. Barbara McAuley (nee Culig), beloved wife of Dr. John McAuley and loving, devoted mother of Mary Beth, Patrick and Sarah. Cherished daughter of Leah and Anton Culig. Loved sister of Stephen Culig (Carol). Treasured sister-in-law of Joseph McAuley (Mary Ellen) and Michael McAuley (Marie). Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Dr. Barbara McAuley graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1984. She was a loving and caring wife, but most of all a mother to her children. She will be remembered for her gentle and loving nature and her unfailing faith. Friends may call at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines (905-685-6584) on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church, (230 Lake Street, St. Catharines) on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11am. A Vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 28 at 8:30 pm. Rite of committal to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
