Obituary of Maria Biesiada

BIESIADA (BAJC) Maria … Peacefully in her sleep at Terrace Lodge, Home for Seniors in Aylmer, Ontario on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Slovenia, she immigrated to Canada in 1951. She was the beloved wife of the late Tomasz Biesiada (2010) and the late Bogomir (Fred) Bajc (1985). Dear mother of Helen Rae (Al) of Lumby, British Columbia, John (Mary) of Aylmer, Ontario and Andy (Nancy) of Garson, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Bradley, Laura Dewaele (Michael), Alexandra and Samantha and great grandmother of the late Kylie Dewaele (2012) . Stepmother of Dennis (Lillian) Biesiada , Michael (Victoria) Biesiada , the late John Biesiada and step-grandmother to Taylor and Alexis. Predeceased by three brothers all from Slovenia. Maria was a retired employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines, where she worked in both the Maternity and CSR department for 25 years. She loved her family, home and had a passion for baking, knitting and crocheting. A one hour visitation prior to the service will be held at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel, 39 Court St., St. Catharines(905-685-6584) on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery St Catharines. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Terrace Lodge Auxiliary, Aylmer, would be appreciated by the family.
